Abstract

For purposes of implementation of the Agreement to promote Compliance with International Conservation and Management Measures by Fishing Vessels on the High Seas done at Rome on 24 November 1993, the Fisheries Administration Act 1991 and the Fisheries Management Act 1991 are amended so as to provide for enforcement measures against Australian flagged boats that have previously undermined conservation and management measures and some other matters such as the establishment of a High Seas Register by AFMA.
