Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to fisheries in the Canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden. Article 1 establishes that the Canton is entitled to grant fishing rights. As such, the Canton is the only body entitled to catch fish, crustaceans and baits in all waters of the Canton in compliance with the federal legislation. Private waters and private fish breeding plants are excluded. Article 2 establishes that the fishing right is granted on a lease basis which entitles to catch fish and crustaceans. The text – consisting of 8 articles – deals with the following matters: inter-cantonal agreements, fishing permit fees, access right to banks, penalties, implementation provisions and entry into force.
