Further, the Regulations impose communication requirements on operators of local and foreign vessels or boats who shall, at least two hours before entering the maritime zone, transmit specified data to the Fisheries Monitoring Centre at specified intervals. The Regulations shall apply to a vessel or boat licensed for fishing or any related activity under section 37 or 39, as the case may be, of the Act. Offences are defined and penalties are prescribed.
