Abstract These Regulations revoke regulations 28 to 55 of the principal Regulations and replace them with new regulations 28 to 47. Also the fifth and sixth Schedule are amended. The regulations make provisions for foreign fishing: vessel licence, records to be kept in English, local representatives, fisheries agreements, stowage of fishing gear, etc. They contain provisions respecting local fishing licences: new general conditions applicable to local fishing vessels are introduced. Marking requirements shall apply both to foreign and local fishing vessels. Some provisions concern research permits and marine bioresearch licences.
