Entry into force notes
This Law shall take effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic, except the provisions of subsection 1, article 3 of the Basic Law as modified by article 3 of this Law, in reference with Cypriot vessels used in fishing outside the territorial waters of the Republic. The entry into force of this article begins after twelve months of the publication of the Law.
Abstract

The law carries forward amendments to certain articles of the basic law dealing with fishing vessel licenses, fishing vessel register and the obligation to Cypriot vessels to entry Cypriot ports. More specifically, articles 2, 4, 6 and 9 are amended; articles 3 and 9 are replaced by new provisions set forth in this text; two new articles (4A and 7A and B) are added.
