Abstract

This amending regulation concerns regulation on sea fisheries. It is enacted on the basis of § 15 (1) (2) and 15 subparagraphs (a), (2), (4), (3), (2) and (3) of the sea fisheries notice of 6 July 1998 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 1791), most recently amended by Article 424 of the Regulation of 1 August 2015 (BGBl. I p. 1474). This regulation is drafted by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and stipulates changes in the existing sea fisheries regulation framework. Article 1 hereby amends the Sea Fisheries Regulation in detail. The amendments include changes in § 2, 7, 9, 10, 12-15, 18, 21-22. In Annex 1, it further stipulates limitations in fishing activities regarding certain fish species. These include inter alia the species salmon, turbot, herring, and tuna. The entry into force is specified as follows: (1) Article 1 (4) and (10) shall enter into force on 1 July 2019. For the rest, this Regulation shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation(2), which is 2nd April 2019.
