Abstract

These Regulations implement provisions of the Fertilizers and Feedingstuffs Act and provide for the control of the quality and placing on the market of fertilizers and feedingstuffs. For purposes of section 4 of the Fertilizers and Feedingstuffs Act, any article sold under the name set out in Column I of the First Schedule shall contain the ingredients set out in Column II. The Second Schedule contains a form of certificate to be issued by the Analyst. For purposes section 12 of the Act regulation 5 declares specified substances to be deleterious substances. Regulation 6 requires disclosure of presence of specified substance sin feedingstuffs. The Third and Fourth Schedule prescribe methods of analysis. The Fifth Schedule prescribes the use of additives, whereas regulation 9 prohibits the use of specified substance s and additives as feeding stuff if they are not conform with rules of content laid down in the Fifth Schedule. Regulation 10 provides rule for marking of articles. Remaining provisions concern sampling of feeding stuffs.
