Abstract An Act to regulate the trade in fertilizers. It lays down the admitted composition of fertilizers and the conditions for marketing them, including, inter alia, application procedures to the relevant Ministry. Furthermore, fertilizers have to be entered in a Register of Fertilizers. Article 18 deals with the identification and labelling requirements. No variations are allowed in the maximum values of heavy metals. Import of fertilizers is allowed only if all requirements are fulfilled. The supervisory body is the Federal Minister for Agriculture and Forestry. Article 24 concerns the procedures for examination of samples, and article 25 details the cases in which the confiscation of fertilizers may take place. This Act consists of 35 articles.
