Abstract

An Act to amend the Fertilizers Act (BGBl. No. 513/1994). Article 9a, dealing with authorization for new fertizilizers, is added to article 9. It establishes that if fertilizers, phytopharmaceutical products, substances to improve the soil, etc. are not authorized according to article 6 of the said Law, they must be authorized by the Federal Office for Agriculture. The necessary conditions for such an authorization, as well as the documents to be included in the application, are listed in the following sections. Furthermore, article 10 on Importation from third countries is modified; it governs the procedures of customs clearance for imported fertilizers. Article 13, paragraph 5, regulating examination of samples; article 14, paragraph 1, setting up tasks of supervisory bodies, and article 18, paragraphs 1 and 2, on Fees, are also amended.
