In particular, the Act rewords, inter alia, article 1 concerning protection of the environment through the efficient use of energy and resources by avoiding or reducing pollution in the form of air pollution, climate-relevant pollutants (in particular carbon dioxide from fossil fuels and other gases relevant to the implementation of Community targets), noise (except traffic noise) and waste (environmental promotion in Austria). Moreover, the Act amends article 6 dealing with environmental promotion in Austria, in particular the article concerns the granting of funding by the Federal Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management.
