Abstract

The present Regulation implements the Wildlife Act. Section 2 establishes that no person shall import into the province, possess, harbour, allow to escape or release to the wild a live animal listed in Schedule A. Moreover, for the purpose of public safety, an officer or a person authorized to enforce a municipal by-law may hunt, trap or capture exotic wildlife running at large. The Regulation consists of 12 sections and 2 Schedules.
