Abstract

These Regulations amend the European Union (Greenhouse Gas Emission Reductions, Calculation Methods and Reporting Requirements) Regulations 2017 in various provisions concerning, among other things, designation of the supplier or suppliers responsible for monitoring and reporting life cycle greenhouse gas emissions per unit of energy from fuel and energy supplied, suppliers of biofuels for use in aviation may choose to become contributors to the reduction obligation, production of biofuels, sustainability criteria for biofuels (land-use change emissions), obligations of suppliers of biofuels, reporting to the National Oil Reserves Agency (NORA).
