Abstract

This Law is issued with the aim of implementing Regulation (EC) No. 66/2010 on the EU Ecolabel Award Scheme. The Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment shall be the competent authority for the implementation of this EU Regulation (article 3). For the purposes of this law, the Eco-label Award Advisory Committee is established (article 4). Article 5 lays down the Committee composition, duties and responsibilities. Fees are established under article 6. The Minister may appoint Inspectors for performing controls on the right implementation of Regulation (EC) No. 66/2010 and of the present law (article 7). The powers of inspectors are laid down in article 8. Prohibitions on the use of the EU Ecolabel are set forth in article 9. Sanctions and penalties are established in articles 10 and 11. Provisional provisions are contained in article 13.
