The Directive introduces control measures aimed at eradicating the disease and preventing its spread. The Regulations prohibit the sale, or placing on the market for sale, of infected potatoes or potatoes suspected to be infected. The Regulations also provide for inspection and the issuing of ring rot prevention notices.
