Abstract

These Regulations amend existing Regulations in regard to: (a) the procedures for inspection of documents and products and the taking of samples; (b) the maximum fines for infringements; and (c) the list of pesticides scheduled and the maximum levels of those pesticides permitted in fruit and vegetables. Where an order of disposal is made by the District Court under regulation 7 of the principal Regulations, the order may provide that the product to which it relates shall be disposed of either by the Minister, or by the person to whom the relevant notice was given under regulation 7.
