Abstract

These Regulations provide for the approval of specified classes of persons who may analyze any samples of food taken by an authorized officer for the purposes of the European Communities (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations, 1998. They empower the Minister to approve a person or a class of person to analyze a controlled item for the purposes of those Regulations.
