The products to which these Regulations apply shall meet the requirements set out in Annex II to the Council Directive. From 1 August 2004 a person shall not place honey on the market unless it complies with the Regulations of 2002 and Articles 1, 2 and 3 of the Council Directive. The Minister may appoint such and so many persons as he or she thinks fit to be authorised officers for the purposes of these Regulations. Powers of authorised officers are defined and offences prescribed.
