Abstract

These Regulations implement the provisions of Council Directive 98/57/EC to protect against the introduction and spread of the harmful organism Ralstonia solanacearum (Smith) Yabuuchi et al previously known as Pseudomonas solanacearum (Smith) Smith. The Regulations also implement the provisions of Commission Directive 1999/53/EC which amends Annex III to Council Directive 77/93/EEC to repeal certain provisions on protective measures against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community.
