Abstract

These Regulations give effect to Commission Directive 91/321/EEC and other specified community legislation on compositional, labelling, marketing and informational requirements for infant formulae and follow-on formulae intended for infants in good health. A person shall not manufacture or place on the market infant formulae or and follow-on formulae market unless the requirements of these Regulations applicable to such products are complied with. The Regulations place prohibitions and limitations on the use of food ingredients in infant formulae and follow-on formulae.
