Abstract

This Order gives effect to Commission Decision 2004/363/EC concerning certain protective measures with regard to live birds or avian products imported from the United States of America. A person, including the master or person in charge of a vessel or aircraft, shall not import an avian product from the State of Texas or cause or permit another person to import an avian product from the State of Texas or have in his or her possession or under his or her control an avian product that has been imported in contravention with this Order. A person importing an avian product from the restricted area shall ensure that each such consignment is accompanied by a veterinary certificate in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Commission Decision.
