Purity criteria concern the specifications and analytical techniques for all approved additives. This Statutory Instrument replaces the purity criteria specification for the colours mixed carotenes (E160a(i)) and beta-carotene (E160a(ii)) which had originally been laid down in Directive 95/45/EC.
