This Ordinance provides regulations for contagious anemia of equids insofar as this has been determined by serological examination or by virological examination, suspicion of the outbreak of equine anemia and suspicion of infection, insofar as epidemiological research cannot rule out infection with equine anemia. The text provides for prohibition of vaccinations and attempts to cure diseased or suspected equids, investigation requirements and and registration of the equids brought to the event. Article 4 establishes that in case of suspicion of an outbreak, the competent authority shall immediately make a clinical and serological examination of the suspected animals.
