Abstract

This Order introduces measures for the prevention of spreading of epizootic lymphangitis in Jersey and applies provisions of article 8 of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956 to this disease. Article 8 empowers the Minister to order slaughtering of diseased animals. Other measures to prevent the spreading of epizootic lymphangitis include a veterinary inquiry, isolation of animals, restrictions on the movement of animals, disposal of carcases, disinfection and cleansing and examination of animals.
