Abstract

This Order, for purposes of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956 extends the definition of “disease” in article 1(3) of the Law so as to include enzootic bovine leucosis disease and applies article 8 of the Law and the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Jersey) Order 1958 and the Foot-and-Mouth Disease (Jersey) Order 19583 to enzootic bovine leucosis disease. Article 8 empowers the Minister to order slaughtering of diseased animals.
