Entry into force notes

This Act enters into force on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette.

Abstract

This Act has been adopted to amend and supplement the Environmental Quality Act, 1974. New sections are added and other amended related to the following matters: administrative and legal proceedings; Council composition, duties and responsibilities; the Director General competencies; Power to require attendance of persons acquainted with case; Forfeiture of seized vehicle, ship, book, etc.; List of vehicle, ship, book, etc., seized; Access to computerized data; Obstruction to search; offences and penalties; etc.
