Abstract This Act has been adopted to amend and supplement the Environmental Quality Act, 1974. A new section, in matter of open burning, is added. In particular, the Minister responsible is authorized to declare, by order, that any fire, combustion or smouldering for the purpose of a particular activity is not to be considered as open burning as defined in and for the purpose of section 29A, provided that such activity is carried out in accordance with or under such conditions.
