Abstract

This Regulation implements the Environmental Protection Act 1994; it consists of 73 sections and is divided in eight Parts. The purposes of the Regulation are to: minimize the impact of waste on the environment including, in particular, the impact of waste so far as it directly affects human health; and establish an integrated framework for minimising and managing waste under the principles of ecologically sustainable development. Part 2 is dedicated to waste management in local government areas
