Emission of any noise in the construction, installation, operation, modification or extension of any facility relating to: (a) industry; (b) commerce; (c) transport; (d) construction; or (e) any institution, requires an environmental authorisation from the Environmental Protection Agency. The Agency may fix the permissible noise levels in decibels with respect to any or all of the categories specified in the Schedule.
