Abstract

These Regulations, promulgated by the Republic of the Marshall Islands Environmental Protection Authority, implement Part IV of the National Environmental Protection Act 1984 and section 11 of the Coast Conservation Act 1988 by establishing standard procedures for the preparation and evaluation of an environmental impact assessment for proposed public and private development activities that may affect the quality of the environment of the Republic. The Regulations establish uniform standards under two Acts so that environmental scrutiny of proposed development activities may be streamlined and simplified.
