Abstract

The purpose of these Regulations, done under the Environment Protection Act 1970, is to minimize the impact of motor vehicle air and noise emissions on people and on the environment. The Regulations are divided into the following parts: Preliminary (1); Constituents of fuels (2); Vehicle standards (3); Noise emission standards (4); Vertical exhaust pipes for diesel engined vehicles (5); Construction, maintenance and labelling (6); General (7) and Fuel standards (8).
