These Rules enter into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The Rules amend serial numbers 14, 53 and 72 and insert new serial numbers 97 and 98 to Schedule I of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986. The Rules provide revised or new environmental standards for the pulp and paper industry; guidelines for the disposal of solid waste, drill cuttings and drilling fluids for offshore and onshore drilling operations; standards for boilers using agriculture waste as fuel; and guidelines for pollution control in ginning mills.
