Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force on 29 September 1989.
Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Introductory Law relating to the Federal Environment Protection Act. Article 1 establishes that the Environment and Energy Office is the competent authority in the Canton to implement the aforementioned Law. The text consists of 52 articles divided into 11 Parts as follows: General competences (I); General measures of the Canton (II); Air pollution (III); Noise protection (IV); Waste management (V); Soil protection (VI); Environmentally hazardous substances (VII); Protection against damages caused by extraordinary events (VIII); Environmental impact assessment (IX); Transitional and final provisions (XI); Processing time (XII).
