Abstract

These Regulations, made under sections 41(1)(b) and 96 of the Environment Protection Act, no. 19 of 2002, determine whether a noise constitutes a nuisance and forbid anyone to produce noise constituting a nuisance, including noise made by an animal. The Regulations concern: specific prohibitions concerning devices for producing sound in public places and related exceptions for public health and security reasons; authorisations of commissioner of police; fixed penalty notices and criminal proceedings; offences.
