Matters subject to modification include: environment management planning and policy, environmental audit or investigation, definitions of "contaminants", general environmental duty, causing environmental harm (defined), freshwater pollution, classification of activities as being harmful to the environment, (the duty to have) environmental permits and conditions of permit, a notice on the applicant requiring the applicant to undertake an environmental impact assessment in relation to the proposed activity, matters to be included in an environmental impact assessment, the duty of submitting an inception report prior to an environmental impact assessment, review of an environmental impact statement, offences, environmental bonds, functions of the Director of Environment, clean-up orders and regulation-making.
