Abstract

This Regulation is made under the Mines and Minerals Act to promote the additional recovery of hydrocarbons through the injection of approved substances into an oil or gas pool. Recovery is incentivized by reducing the amount of Crown royalty due on hydrocarbons produced using enhanced recovery methods for up to 90 months. The Regulation applies only to hydrocarbons obtained under an enhanced hydrocarbon recovery scheme that is approved by the Minister on or after January 1, 2017. The text consists of 15 sections and 1 Schedule.
