Abstract The purpose of the present Law is to: a) promote a sufficient, economic and environment-friendly energy supply; b) promote the economic use of primary energy, in particular that of non-renewable energy; c) reduce the energy consumption steadily; d) promote the efficiency of energy use and reduce by 2050 the CO2 emission; e) enforce the Federal Electricity Supply Act of 23 March 2007; f) promote the use of renewable energy.
