Abstract

The present Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Resources implements article 4 of the Emission Protection Act (BGBl. I No. 115/1997). The Ordinance lays down provisions dealing with the monitoring of emission into air of harmful substances. The Federal Minister has to ensure that specified methods are used for assessing air quality in relation to each pollutant in each zone. The text consists of 39 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: Control of limit values to protect human health (1); Control of limit values of dust particles to protect human health (2); Assessment of limit values on import and export of harmful substances (3); Measurement for detection of long-term trends (4); Control of limit values to protect ecosystems and vegetation (5); Measurement of greenhouse gases (6); Reporting (7); Inspection of assessment methods (8); Final provisions (9). Two Annexes are enclosed
