They specify the food articles that may be sold at the market and prohibits the sale or exposure for sale or keeping in a stall unsound, tainted or adulterated articles or food. They provide rules for the hygienic handling of food and for inspections. No person shall be authorized to occupy a stall in the Open Market unless duly authorized by the District Council by way of an authorization contract as per Schedule A to these Regulations.
