Abstract

These Regulations contains rules relative to the importation of plants, trees and related materials into Tonga for purposes of control of pests and diseases affecting plants and trees. Importation of trees, shrub or plants requires a health certificate of the country of origin. Importation of soil, sand, timber and other materials likely to harbour insects and diseases requires a permit the Minister or Director of Agriculture, Forests and Fisheries.
