It also requires a keeper of a holding to maintain a register in a form approved for the purpose by the Minister, in which specified data regarding animals is kept. It also: provides for ear-tagging of animals; prohibits the moving of a pig, goat or sheep off a holding unless it has an ear tag in each ear; and requires a person who transports pigs, goats or sheep from a holding for export to carry a document signed by the keeper of the holding of departure.
