Abstract

This Order extends the definition of "disease" in the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966, to include all transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. For all purposes of the Act, the First Schedule is hereby amended by the insertion in Part III thereof at the end of Class A of the following: "44 Transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (other than bovine spongiform encephalopathy and scrapie).".
