It requires the owner or person in charge of ducks whose eggs are sold to develop and put in place a programme for the control of salmonella. It also defines duties of relative to testing, sampling, transport, notification, record-keeping and registration and defines offences. Ducks that are affected with Salmonellosis shall be kept separated and such ducks shall not be used for breeding purposes.
