Abstract

This Order grants the Environment Agency a right of regulating the cockle fishery over the estuary of the River Dee for a period of 20 years and (with the consent of the appropriate national authority) of imposing restrictions on, and make Regulations respecting, the dredging, fishing for or taking of cockles within the limits of the fishery. The Order also prescribes that no one may fish for, dredge or take cockles without a licence or some other authorization.
