Abstract

El presente Decreto Supremo aprueba la Política Nacional Forestal y de Fauna Silvestre, que constituye un instrumento intersectorial de cobertura territorial nacional, cuyo objetivo general es el de contribuir con el desarrollo sostenible del país, a través de una adecuada gestión del patrimonio forestal y de fauna Silvestre de la Nación, que asegure su aprovechamiento sostenible, conservación, protección e incremento, para la provisión de bienes y servicios de los ecosistemas forestales, otros ecosistemas de vegetación silvestre y de la fauna silvestre, en armonía con el interés social, cultural, económico y ambiental. La Política Nacional Forestal y Fauna Silvestre es de cumplimiento obligatorio por el Gobierno Nacional, por los Gobiernos Regionales y por los Gobiernos Locales, y se estructura en base a cinco ejes temáticos esenciales, cada uno con lineamientos de política orientados. Los ejes temáticos son los siguientes: 1) Institucionalidad y Gobernanza; 2) Sostenibilidad; 3) Competitividad; 4) Inclusión Social e Interculturalidad; 5) Conocimientos, Ciencia y Tecnología.
