Abstract This Decree applies to the use of fixed gear, trawl gear and purse seine by Norwegian vessels fishing in the zone within 12 nautical miles of the baseline. Vessels with trawl and purse seine shall observe special attention in grounds with a high concentration of fixed gear during fishing (sect. 2). The Director of Fisheries may prohibit night fishing by trawl or purse seine vessels on fishing grounds where a concentration of nets and lines is present.
