Abstract This Decree prohibits fishing of capelin by Norwegian vessels in the North-East Atlantic in the 1999-2000 season. Exempted from the prohibition is a total allowable catch of 129 800 tons of capelin fished by vessels in possession of a purse seine licence in the fisheries zone of Jan Mayen, the fisheries zone of Greenland north of 64° 30' N and the economic zone of Iceland north of 64° 30' N of which 53.000 tons may be fished in the economic zone of Iceland.
