Abstract

No one shall construct, install, expand, hold a majority stake in, operate, etc. a fish farming enterprise for experimental, research or training purposes without a permission of the Director of Fisheries (sect. 2). Section 3 regulates the procedures of application for permits. Until further notice the licence shall be granted in accordance with section 6 of the Fish Breeding Act of 1985. Section 5 specifies reasons for refusal of a permit; permits shall be refused to installations which may cause damage to fish health or the environment. The volume of installations for training may not exceed two thousand cubic metres. The maximum allowed volume for experimental or research breeding shall be established case by case (sect. 6).
