Abstract

This Decree regulates the production of salmon and trout in marine waters and the breeding of parent fish by local units of the Norwegian Fish Breeding Society. Moving and enlargement of fish farming installations require a permission of the Director of Fisheries. Section 3 regulates the procedures of application for permits. Section 4 specifies reasons for refusal of a permit; permits shall be refused to installations which may cause damage to fish health or the environment. Moving shall be allowed in accordance with criteria for new establishments in accordance with criteria regarding measures established by section 1 of the Fish Breeding Act of 1985. Moving of the establishment outside the county or municipal borders is not allowed (sect. 5). Enlargement is allowed up to a volume not exceeding twelve thousand cubic metres. (8 sections)
