Abstract

This Decree, based on the provisions of the Law on environment, determines the type and scope of installations that are engaged in the production of energy which is produced by burning fossil fuels. Installations are stand-alone production facilities composed of one or more energy devices, plants or systems that produce energy. Fossil fuels are all types of coal and coal derivatives, firewood and oil and all types of oil derivatives except liquefied petroleum gas. Installations depending on the type of energy they produce by combustion of fossil fuels are defined as installations operated manufacturer for: production of electricity; or production of thermal energy; or combined production of electricity and heat. Installations that produce energy produced by burning fossil fuels are installations with a total installed capacity equal to, or greater than 10 МW.
