Abstract This Decree of the Ministry of Environment, which is composed of seven articles, lays down rules and measures for the disposal of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). It sets out (i) technical requirements for the elimination of PCBs and technical requirements for devices containing such materials; (ii) methods for setting the total concentration of PCBs in materials and devices; (iii) proceedings for assessing the absence of PCBs; (iv) rules for marking devices containing PCBs; (v) rules on marking of decontaminated devices.
